Personal Childhood Web

My mother, Trina Hall, and my cousin, Arnold ''Buddy'' Allen were the most influential in my childhood. My mother was a single parent when she was raising me and my brother. She worked as many jobs as necessary to provide me and my brother with a quality education, opportunities to participate in social activities, and a home in a safe tight knit community. My mother was influential in my childhood by enrolling me various outside activities like Girl Scouts of America and participation in a competitive softball league. She cared and nurtured me by showing me physical affection, words of praise, and a safe environment where I could thrive. My mother made me feel special by supporting me in all endeavors I choose to pursue. She continues to impact my life by the hard work ethic she instilled in me to be a contributing provider in my family. My cousin, Buddy, was my protector when I was a child. He always made sure I was safe when we would leave adult supervision. He even would not let me go to certain location because ''I was too little'' (my cousin was only three years older than me LOL). My cousin influenced my childhood by making me feel like I was unstoppable and capable of anything I could ever want. He cared and nurtured me by providing a shoulder for me to cry on when I wanted to be a ''big girl'', but wasn't quite there yet. My cousin made me feel special during my childhood by sticking up for me regardless of the circumstances. Buddy has influenced my life by teaching that family takes care of each other even when times are hard.

  1. I really like how you identified each of your influential people's specific role in your life, how their role influenced you as a child, and how it has molded you as an adult.
