Quotes from John Bowlby and Louise-Derman Sparks

Quotes from John Bowlby:''

‘’Just as children are absolutely dependent on their parents for sustenance, so in all but the most primitive communities, are parents, especially mothers, dependent on greater society for economic provision.  If a community values its children it must cherish their parents’’ (Bowlby, 1951, p. 84).
 Quotes from Louise-Derman Sparks:
''Childrem are not succeding because they are not given the tools they need not because they don't have the intelligence.''
''The passion was that all children were taught in an environment that truly nurtured their ability to develop and grow.''

  1. That is a true state that children are taught in an truly nutured their abilty to develop and grow. With out that children wouldn't learn what they need to know if they don't have a learning environment. Children learn from us and what we do on a daily base.

    1. The statements "Childrem are not succeding because they are not given the tools they need not because they don't have the intelligence.''

They are both powerful statements! Often times children are pushed to the side because they are behavior problems or because they may not learn as quickly as their peers. Educators need to keep in mind that we are charged with task of preparing students for the next level by equipping them with the necessary skills needed to be successful.
